TIP OF THE ICEBURG

My name is Kyra-Brea Shanguion. I am an artist, visual creative and part time daydreamer based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am currently completing my Honors for BA Fine Arts degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, Wits School of Arts. My practice involves a deep interest in the temporality and mundanity of day-to-day experience - a constant reminder of an inevitability of thoughtless progress – noticed or not. I also have specific interest in the banality of a current existence, in a life / world highly occupied with distractions and busyness, yet with certain ease and intrigue, dominated by the will to do nothing.
